Safety and 18+ statement
Unstrange is an adult service. Every user must be 18 or older.
Age checks
In countries whose law requires it (including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Ireland) users pass a real age check before video: a credit card check, a selfie age estimate, or an ID document. Elsewhere users confirm they are 18 or older.
People who earn
Every woman and creator on Unstrange passes an identity and liveness check and signs a consent form before her first call or photo. Records are kept for every earner.
Moderation
Users can report any chat with one tap; a still from the reported video goes to our team. Reports are reviewed, repeated reports suspend accounts, and illegal content is reported to the authorities. Photos are checked by us before they are shown.
Location
Distances between people are worked out from an approximate area (or a precise location if you choose to share it) and only ever shown as a range: under 10, 25, 50 or 100 km, or same region. Your exact position is never shown to anyone. You can hide your distance in your profile.
Meeting someone in person
- Dates are opt-in for both people and never paid. Report anyone who asks for or offers money to meet.
- Contact details are hidden until both of you agree to meet.
- Meet in a busy public place, get there and back on your own, and tell a friend where you are and who you are meeting.
- Keep your home address and workplace to yourself until you know the person well.
- If something feels wrong, leave. In an emergency call 112.
